‘Bed’ was a one-on-one performance looking at the idea that the bed can be repurposed as a stage, blurring the domain of public and private. Each audience member was invited to enter into the bed where a recital of a poem consisting of only one word was performed. One word, one stage, one actor and one audience member. ‘Bed’ was assisted by Clare Scarce and performed in the Blue room, using the bed from the hotel in its original placement in the room.
