CRAWL
(KASSIE JUNKEER & RUBY ROO)

Kassie makes her debut as CRAWL alongside Ruby Roo. Having trained in a number of contemporary and classical dance scenes, Kassie pursues her creative direction through her practice and work as a teacher. She is interested in dance as a form of integrative expression, as a vessel through which to immerse herself in realms between sonic and physical space. In CRAWL, the pair explore dance through its spontaneity, ethereality and transience.

Ruby Roo is interested in somatic practices and bodywork. She is interested in how our bodies connect with our environment - how we entangle and untangle ourselves. Trained in contemporary dance and bodywork, Ruby looks to explore dance that invokes emotive and unplaced nostalgic responses. Working alongside Kassie Junkeer as CRAWL, Internal Worlds can be seen as a spark of their seamless energetic collaboration.
